MSc Thesis Opportunity: Thermal Design of Future Radio Solutions
Thermal engineering is one of the key competences for 5G! The need for innovative cooling solutions have never been bigger. We are currently looking for 1-2 Students for the thermal design team in our BTS Engineering lab in Stockholm to take part in the challenge of Thermal analysis and design our future radio solutions and site concepts.
The task will be to analyze and optimize cooling solutions for antennas and radio in the form of a degree project / master thesis. This can involve natural cooling, forced cooling or 2phase solutions.
The work will be done in very close cooperation with our design teams in Sweden and our head office in China. Due to our current projects time-schedules it would be valuable for us if the internships could start during March 2023.
Qualifications & experience
We require a University study direction that is suitable for thermal design. We believe this most likely is Mechanical engineering, Physics or Aeronautics, with a special individual focus of (for instance); fluid dynamics, acoustics, and mathematics or energy systems.
A general understanding of electronics cooling and CFD tools like Flotherm, Fluent and Star CCM+ using experience would be beneficial.
The candidate can of course communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Required skills/personal characteristics
- We expect that the candidate can work independently as well as in a team
- The candidate should have a high focus on delivering high quality work
- The candidate should have a good understanding of working in a test/lab environment
- Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred
