Thesis description

5G wireless communication systems utilize large antenna arrays to meet the ever-increasing demands for higher data rates. To fully exploit the advantages of using large antenna arrays, accurate channel state information acquisition is crucial for enabling advanced beamforming design. This thesis aims to investigate various deep learning techniques, such as transformers and diffusion models, for wireless channel estimation, evaluate their performance and complexity, and propose cost-efficient algorithms suitable for 5G and beyond products.

Qualifications

• Master student in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• A solid theoretical background in areas such as deep learning, digital communications and signal processing.
• Experience in deep learning.

• Proficient in Python or comparable programming languages.
