About the Project: Materials Research – Mechanical Properties
At Huawei, material engineering is essential to the evolution of electronic devices, and the demand for pioneering solutions is stronger than ever. We are currently seeking master’s students to join our Materials Research team within the Mechanical and Process Engineering Lab. You will dive into a project analyzing the impact of intermetallic compounds (IMCs) on multi-metal systems under high-temperature exposure. Your work will investigate the relationships between IMC growth, temperature variations, and mechanical properties—critical factors in next-gen tech development.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with cutting-edge engineering teams in Sweden and Huawei’s HQ in China, while also conducting hands-on research in university labs.
Timeline
Given our current project schedules, we are looking for master’s students available to start in spring 2025.
Qualifications & Skills
Background: Pursuing a Master student in Materials Science and Engineering, ideally with a focus on metallic materials.
Communication: Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
Team & Independence: Capable of working effectively both in teams and independently.
Commitment to Quality: High attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.
Desirable Experience: Familiarity with multicultural and international work settings, and experience in a lab/testing environment.
