6G Microwave Photonics Internship

Master thesis scope
We are looking for a Master or PhD student with good knowledge in one or some areas of microwave photonics, radio over fiber, or photonic integrated circuits for wireless communications.
Main Responsibilities:
The project is related to analysis of the cross over between 6G phased array antenna systems and photonic technologies. You will work in a cross-functional team. Your main focus will be on photonic system modelling, photonic beamforming antenna architecture, and radio over fiber performance.
Qualifications
- You must be enrolled in a Swedish University.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge in Photonic simulation tools such as VPI.
- Good understanding of wireless communications.
- Photonic systems performance simulations in Python or Matlab.
- Good understanding of microwave photonics.
- Motivated, strong social skills, team spirit, flexible, creative.
What we offer:
The internship will last for a minimum period of 6 months with a possibility to extend. This is a full-time and paid internship. The intern will work at the Gothenburg Research Center, Huawei Technologies Sweden AB.
