Principle Engineer for Planning of New Power System Solutions
Your mission
- Analyze trends in the development of new power systems to shape the vision for relevant technologies, platforms, and industry directions. Establish and guide long-term technical development strategies for the product portfolio.
- Integrate insights from emerging technologies like BESS, FACTS, and customer pain points to create cutting-edge and market-leading new power system solutions.
- Perform Joint-Innovation activities with internal and external partners
Execute simulations, power system studies, and support field testing with internal and external stakeholders within joint-Innovation projects
- Active and influential participation in academic or industrial standardization organizations, holding key technical leadership roles and contributing to industry advancement.
Core Competency Requirements
- Deep understanding of the evolution of new power system solutions and platform architectures, like BESS, FACTS, HVDC, MVDC etc. Ability to anticipate customer needs and address challenges across diverse operational scenarios.
- Mastery of new power systems, photovoltaics, energy storage, or EV charging infrastructure. Proven ability to drive continuous innovation and breakthroughs in key areas such as grid-forming inverters (GFM), grid simulation, virtual power plants, and advanced energy storage
- Industry-wide vision with the capability to identify trends, integrate leading technologies, and apply multi-dimensional thinking (cross-domain, customer value, ecosystem collaboration) to translate innovation into competitive products. Hands-on experience in power system product or platform development, especially in the area of renewable sources integration
- Successful Implementation of Key Technologies
Solid experience in bringing critical technologies and projects to fruition. Ability to identify and solve customer pain points, with a track record of influencing executive-level technical decisions. - Ideally, you bring experience in power systems control for power electronic inverters
- Structured way of working, initiative, creativity, ability to work in a team, communication skills, motivation as well as enthusiasm and quality orientation
