About the Project

Next-generation networks demand unprecedented data rates, ultra-low latency, and massive connectivity, introducing big computational challenges at the baseband physical layer. High-complexity workloads like massive MIMO beamforming, channel estimation, and decoding require dynamic, sub-millisecond mapping onto heterogeneous accelerators.

Traditional static or heuristic scheduling struggles to adapt to fluctuating traffic and channel conditions, causing hardware underutilization, missed deadlines, and high power consumption. To circumvent these bottlenecks, a dynamic, intelligent mapping mechanism must be introduced to maximize hardware utilization under strict latency and power constraints.

Timeline

Given our current project schedules, we are looking for master’s students available to start in spring 2027.

Qualifications & Skills

• Background: Deep learning, reinforcement learning, machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and AI model optimization techniques.

• Communication: Strong command of English, both spoken and written.

• Team & Independence: Capable of working effectively both in teams and independently.

• Commitment to Quality: High attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.

• Desirable Experience: Wireless communication, signal processing, 5G/NR.
