Where? At Gothenburg Research Center
Preferred starting date? Spring 2025
For whom? Mattias Gustafsson / Ahsan Altaf
Thesis description
Asymmetric analog beamformers allow to synthesize N beams from M antennas. This asymmetric structure provides flexible phase outputs to steer the beam of an array around a plane enabling beamforming for MIMO systems. This thesis will investigate the possibilities of realizing such asymmetric beamformers using hybrid couplers, phase shifters, and cross-overs.
