Thesis description
Massive MIMO uplink systems can hinder overall system energy efficiency (EE) due to high-power hardware components such as RF chains, high-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), and high-resolution phase shifters (PSs). To minimize power consumption, simplified architectures with low-requirements on gain and noise could be employed. This thesis is intended to investigate potential candidates to increase the dynamic range of ADC's with limited bit resolution and noisy signals and what options there are to implement these.
